Alma Intermediate School

The 4th-grade students have been learning all about Arkansas, and on Monday evening they got to show it off! Mrs. Walden has spent time teaching them about our state tree, beverage, dance, instrument, flower, insect, gem, bird, and many other facts about the state in which they live. The songs they performed on Monday all revolve around these facts and the beauty of the natural state. Students had a blast singing and moving with songs such as "Oh Arkansas," "Alma Gals," "Down in the Arkin," "Arkansas You Run Deep in Me," and especially Barrett Baber's "Get There From Here" and "Fifty Nifty United States." Every year Mrs. Walden looks forward to sharing her love of her state with students and preparing for this special program!
