November/December Victory Celebration

Yesterday, Alma High School celebrated the accomplishments of its students, staff, and organizations during the November/December Victory Celebration held at the Skokos Performing Arts Center. The event honored the dedication, talent, and success demonstrated over the past month, with recognition spanning academics, arts, athletics, and more.

AIREDALE MVPs

Congratulations to this month's MVPs who have displayed outstanding performance and leadership:

  • SENIOR: Israel Towns-Robinson

  • JUNIOR: Cambrie Trantham

  • SOPHOMORE: Chase Parker

  • FRESHMAN: Faith McCaslan

  • FACULTY: Amanda Atwell

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER SUPERSTARS

This month featured an impressive lineup of achievements across a variety of activities and competitions:

  • Landen Coursey: Selected as an Arkansas delegate for the 2025 Senate Youth Program. He will attend Washington Week and receive a $10,000 scholarship.

  • Model UN Delegates: Recognized for exceptional performance:

    • Landen Coursey: Opening speaker, rapporteur, and runner-up for Best Delegate.

    • Leila Wood: Honorable Mention.

    • Additional delegates were honored for outstanding position papers.

  • Dance: Alma’s dance team achieved State Runner-Up status for the 17th consecutive year and earned the Judges Choice Award with top placements across multiple categories.

  • Cheer: Demonstrating strength and spirit, Alma Cheer earned First Place in the Senior and Junior High divisions at the Southern Spirit Competition. Additionally, Junior High Cheer won at the Alma Invitational.

  • Region 8 Jazz Band Selections: Congratulations to Karson Sims, Gus Wood, and other talented members for their musical achievements.

  • All-Region Junior High Band Selections: Leanna Bohannon and Karson Sims were honored for their musical excellence.

  • Carter Downs: Placed 1st in the region and 2nd in the state in the Stock Market Game, earning a prize of $125.

  • Chess Team: Alma’s Senior High team secured 1st place, and Junior High placed 3rd at the GFESC Chess Tournament. Multiple individual medalists were also recognized.

  • NJROTC Drill Team: Achieved Overall First Place at the Mountain Home Drill Meet.

  • Newsies Cast and Crew: Commended for their outstanding performances in the recent school production.

  • Retail Industry Fundamentals Specialists: Certifications were awarded to Addison Mayer, Jamon Fluitt, Brandon Merriweather, Kayleigh Watkins, Melanie Araujo Zavala, Russell Waggoner, and Matthew Stout.

National Career Readiness Certificate Recipients

Students earning National Career Readiness Certificates (NCRC) were celebrated for their commitment to workforce readiness. Recipients included those earning Platinum and Gold distinctions:
