Congratulations to the following Alma High School Model UN delegates for their achievements at the Arkansas Model UN Conference held on November 22-23.
Model United Nations (MUN) is an extracurricular activity where students simulate UN committees and take on the roles of delegates to the United Nations.
Landen Coursey was selected as an opening speaker, representing the United Kingdom. He was also elected as the rapporteur for the Security Council and earned the runner-up
award for best delegate in the Security Council.
Leila Wood received an honorable mention for her work in the Historical Security Council, also representing the United Kingdom.
Additionally, Leila and Avery Bowerman were recognized with an honorable mention for their outstanding position paper, representing the United Kingdom.
