Soccer sweeps Prairie Grove

Alma opened the 2024 soccer season with a 6-2 win over Prairie Grove.
Matt McCarver scored the first goal on an assist from Christian Ocanas in the 31st minute.
McCarver was just getting started.
Alma scored twice more in the first half in the 37th and 39th minute on a pair of goals from Elliot Resinos goals. Carlos Gonzalez assisted on the second goal.
Danny Rodriguez assisted McCarver’s second goal in the 50th minute. He added his third goal in the 72nd minute.
Marcelino Rodriguez scored the fifth goal for the Airedales.
Alma 1, Prairie Grove 0
GIRLS - Yoseline Gonzalez accounted for the game’s lone goal as Alma opened the 2024 season with a victory.
Booneville 9, Alma 2
SOFTBALL - The Lady Airedales dropped their season opener to defending state champion Booneville, 9-2.
Brooklin Neighbors suffered the loss.
Cali Frazier added a two-run single. Annie Davis and Julia Nutt hit safely.
