It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Alma Jack, who brought joy and happiness to the Alma School District family for many years. Jack belonged to the Treece family but was also an integral part of the Alma School District family, known for his amiable and cheerful personality that endeared him to everyone.
Born in 2010, Alma Jack arrived at Alma, the Home of the Airedales, in 2011. Lou Cagle received a phone call at the administration building from someone who wished to re-home an Airedale. She sent a message to the staff, and Scott Treece was quick to answer the call and brought Jack into his family.
Jack became a member of the Alma School District family in 2012 and remained a part of it until his retirement in 2020. On game days, Jack would get ready for the big night with Scott, and his excitement was palpable. Pamm recounted how Jack would know it was almost time to run onto the field with his fellow Airedales as Scott brushed him. Jack also spent a lot of time at Alma Primary and Alma Intermediate, where he brought joy to the students.
We are thankful to the Treece family for allowing Alma Jack to be a part of our community for so many years. We invite Airedale fans to share their favorite memories of Jack or leave a message for the Treece family in the comments section below.
