Alma High School Celebrates December Victories

Alma High School kicked off the final week before Winter Break with an impressive Victory Celebration Assembly. The Airedale MVP's were recognized, including Ross Brister (senior), Brittany Bowlin (junior), Brenna Morris (sophomore), and Bryley Bowlin (freshman). Faculty MVP was awarded to Carson Grannon. There was also a gift card drawing for students who submitted their college acceptance - congratulations to Rachel Callahan, Tayla Gil, Tyler Gribbin-Riley, Xander Jones, Lillian Medlock, Faith Randolph, and Whitney Watson.

There were many other achievements celebrated, including:
  • AHS Varsity Dance Team: Back-to-Back State Champions
  • Landen Coursey: Honorable Mention at the Model UN Conference for Best Delegate Security Council
  • Google Educator Level 1 Certification: Phallyn Roberts, Allee Little, and Macklaine Easton
  • Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy: Cecilia Pandolfi and Esther Cauhape
  • Partner's Club and Special Olympics: Alma Gold 1st Place and Alma Green 2nd Place in Special Olympic Volleyball
  • AHS Chess Team: 2nd Place at Guy Fenter Education Service Cooperative Chess Tournament
  • Alma DECA: Members raised $1,185 for AR Children's Northwest through the Miss Alma High School Pageant
  • Miss AHS: Nora Medlock
  • FFA Students winning awards at Fairs and Leadership Contests: Ross Brister, Brody Taylor, Dakota Williams, Wyatt Brister, Hailey Overby, Hailey Kelly, Bryley Bowlin, Logan Flanagan, Jackson Bauer, Mason Collins, Brittany Bowlin, Locklan Flanagan, Hailie Peppers, Keirstyn Bailey, Isabella Todd, Parker Moreland and Jessica Coleman
  • Mrs. Tyler's Survey of Business Students: Earned Digital Literacy certification
  • Student Athletic Trainers: recognition for all of the hours they have put in working fall and winter sports
  • Cast, Crew, and Support for Fiddler on the Roof: Recognition for an excellent show
  • Alma NJROTC: Drill Meet - 1st place in 16 x 100 relay, 2nd place Team Push ups, 3rd place Team Curl Ups, 3rd place Academics. Color guard commanded by Zoye Wofford, Armed Regulation commanded by Joseph King, Unarmed regulation commanded by Michelle Zolliecoffer, and Unit Personnel Inspect commanded by Daniel Porte
