Good balance powers Alma to 74-51 win over Southside

Alma Schools
Easton Boggs, Miles Kendrick, and Chris Salazar combined for 38 points to help power the Alma Airedales to a 74-51 win over Southside Tuesday at Airedale Arena.
Boggs finished with 15 points and six rebounds. He was 3-for-5 from the 3-point line.
Kendrick added 12 points and seven rebounds.
Camden Curd finished with eight points, four rebounds, and a team-high three assists, while Matthew Rodgers and Tyree McGill added seven points apiece. Israel Towns-Robinson finished with four rebounds and a pair of assists.
Alma (3-1) led 19-11 after one quarter and 36-24 at the half. The Airedales extended the lead to 58-36 after three-quarters of play.
Coach Dominic Lincoln’s bench accounted for 28 points.
Alma 42, Fayetteville 33
BOYS — It’s not how you start but how you finish. Luke Stogsdill didn’t score in the first quarter of Tuesday’s game with Fayetteville.
But he finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds over the final three quarters to help pace Alma to a 42-33 victory at Fayetteville High School. The Airedales are 4-0 against 6A-West foes Northside, Southside, Bentonville, and Fayetteville.
Alma never trailed against Fayetteville.
Carson Curd added nine points, three rebounds, and three assists. Boaz Benson and Drake Ciampoli finished with six and five points, respectively. Lawson Adams and Cade Moore scored four points each and combined for eight rebounds. Adams also had two steals and a pair of blocks.
Fayetteville 40, Alma 31
GIRLS — The Alma Lady Airedales’ junior high girls team suffered a 40-31 loss to Fayetteville on Monday.
Alma led 8-2 to open the game but fell behind 32-17 in the second half. Olivia Hughes led Alma with 13 points.
Faith Sartor finished with 12 points for the Lady Airedales. Lauren Settle had four points and Maddie Dunn scored two points.
Fayetteville 48, Alma 38
BOYS — Coach Blake Branham’s eighth-grade boys team suffered a 48-38 loss to Fayetteville Tuesday.
Carson Hamilton had 19 points to lead the Airedales. Gabe Hardin and Tucker Workman finished with six points each.
