Lady Airedales rout Ozark

Annie Davis and Brooklyn Neighbors had three hits apiece, and Harper Jernigan allowed three hits and struck out six as the Alma Lady Airedales shut out Ozark, 10-0, for their eighth victory of the season.
Jernigan and fellow freshman Camryn Waters drove in two runs for the winners. All nine Alma starters had at least one hit and scored at least one run.
Jernigan, Izabella Plourde, and Leah Wilson had two hits. Waters, Peyton Morris, and Mackenzie Gwinn also hit safely for the Lady Airedales.
Jernigan started the scoring with a two-run double in the second inning. Davis and Morris added RBI doubles during the teamās six-run second inning. Plourde added an RBI single.
Waters opened the third inning with a triple and scored the seventh run on Laramie Carrās grounder.
Baseball
The Alma Airedalesā baseball team dropped a 5-2 decision to Russellville Monday in 5A-West play, dropping the Airedales to 11-9 overall and 4-3 in conference play.
The Airedales travel to Russellville on Tuesday.
Michael Taylor had two doubles and an RBI for the Airedales. Alma outhit the Cyclones, 10-5. Cash Wilson was the losing pitcher.
Along with Taylor, Brayden Driscoll, Sheppard Osborn, and Carson Curd had two hits for the Airedales.
Alma won the junior varsity game, 2-1. Landon Taylor tossed three scoreless innings for the win.
Logan Villarreal finished up with two innings of one-run ball. Zeb Silversā game-saving catch in left field preserved the victory.
