Crump excels at track meet

Alma junior John Crump took first place (15.86) in the 110 high hurdles at the Van Buren Field Event and Running Festival. 

Crump finished fifth in the 300 hurdles and was also part of Alma’s first-place finish in the 400-meter relay. 

Crump, Ayden Parker, Sam Schlegel, and Caleb Liles won with a time of 1:34.01. 

Schlegel was second (42.11) in the 300 hurdles, and Parker was fourth in the 400 meters. 

In the girl's division, Yoseline Gonzalez, Ah Lea Henson, Zoye Wofford, and Vivian Beneux took third (1:58.43) in the 800 relay. Beneux was eighth in the 100. 

Kenadie Farris was second (4-foot-10) in the high jump, and Henson was fifth (4-8). 

Alma’s Nevaeh Kangas was sixth in the 1600 and seventh in the 800.
