Jordan Gramlich wanted more than anything to win her final basketball game.
But she was also aware of something else brewing during the 2024-25 Lady Airedalales’ basketball season.
Needing 508 points to break a 40-year-old record, Gramlich inched her close to Babette Dodson’s all-time mark of 1,500 points.
But two quick fouls in the third quarter left Gramlich with four fouls. With 10 points through three quarters, Gramlich hit five of six fourth-quarter free throws and, after tying the mark, got the record breaker on a layup at the 2:26 mark of the fourth quarter.
