Alma junior boys fall late, 52-50 

 

The Alma ninth-grade boys team suffered a 52-50 loss to Harrison on Thursday. 

 

Sam Schlegel led the Airedales (5-7, 0-2) with 12 points, two rebounds, two steals, and one assist. Jeremiah Schlegel added nine points, four rebounds, and four assists. 

 

The Airedales’ Easton Daily and Kade Fagan finished with nine and six points, respectively. 

 

Braden Kimes added five points, three rebounds, and two assists. Owen McCoy finished with two points. 

 

The Airedales next host Siloam Springs on Jan. 19. 

 

Alma junior girls now 12-0

 

Emberly Kimes and Olivia Hughes scored eight points apiece to power the Alma junior girls to a 33-26 win over Harrison - the team’s 12th victory without a loss. 

 

Alma (12-0, 2-0) travels to Siloam Springs on Jan. 18. 

 

Also for Alma, Faith Sartor and Izabel Benson added six points apiece. Anna Swarnes and Breella Hughes added three and two points, respectively. 

 

Lady Airedale 8th graders win

 

Jaeda Cahoon scored 13 points to help Alma roll to an easy 38-6 win over Harrison in eighth-grade girls basketball action. 

 

Ruthy Dunaway and Matilyn Dunn scored eight points apiece for the winners. 

 

Alma’s Izabelle Plourde and Lauren Settles finished with six and three points, respectively. 

 

The Lady Airedales travel to Siloam Springs on Jan. 18. 

 

Airedale 8th grade boys roll, 58-50

 

Luke Stogsdill had a big night in Harrison. The eighth-grade standout scored 17 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and added five assists and four steals. 

 

Sammy Moore and Hudson Loughridge scored 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the winners. Carson Curd had nine points and six assists. 

 

Cade Moore added six points, and Boaz Benson scored one point and had five rebounds.
