BENTON — Presli Taylor started hitting 3-pointers at a rapid pace against the Beebe Badgers.

Then, almost as quickly as it started, it stopped.

But not for long.

Taylor hit three of her season-high six 3-pointers during a fourth-quarter scoring frenzy as Alma ran away from Beebe, 60-23, at the Benton Holiday Classic.

Taylor was 6-of-7 from the 3-point line.

“If it doesn’t hit the rim, it’s usually going to be a good night for me,” Taylor said. “(But) I'm really glad everybody else did good for us. We made 12 3s as a team. After playing those two really good teams, Sylvan Hills and Northside, it means a lot to come out here and see our competition and get a good dub.”

The win avenged last season’s 48-36 loss to Beebe.

In Thursday’s win, Alma led wire-to-wire while hitting 12-of-33 3-point attempts. Beebe was 6-of-13.

Taylor’s three early treys helped the team build an 18-5 lead after one quarter. Jordan Gramlich opened the second half with a 3-pointer as Alma hit the gas for a 30-12 lead.

Gramlich finished with 16 points, six steals, five assists, and four rebounds.

Halena Dugger had eight points and Daimya Parker, Jaden Gramlich, and Anna Dunaway added four points each.

The Lady Airedales outscored Beebe, 35-13, in the second half.
