The Alma junior high football team rolled to a 32-8 win over the Prairie Grove Tigers on Thursday night. 

 

Quarterback Sam Schlegel had a big night for the winners, accounting for 180 yards of offense and four touchdowns. 

 

Schlegel ran for 104 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. He also completed 5-of-7 passes for 76 yards and another score. 

 

Caleb Liles caught four passes for 65 yards and a touchdown. 

 

Owen McCoy caught one pass for 11 yards. 

 

Logan English and Tim Plourde combined for 67 yards rushing. The pair also had four tackles each. 

 

Also, defensively, Cooper Dunaway had a team-high seven tackles. Schlegel and Dallas Stallings finished with six tackles each, and Trenton Kilgore had four tackles. 

 

Ashton Millsap added two big interceptions. 

 

Alma 7th graders 

 

Tucker Workman threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Mason Mahar and the Alma seventh-grade team rolled to an 18-0 win over Prairie Grove on Thursday. 

 

Workman completed 3-of-5 pass attempts. Brody Baldwin was 2-of-3 from the air, including a 13-yard completion to Hudson Sharp. 

 

Barron Daily carried the ball six times for 36 yards, including a touchdown. He also had three tackles. 

 

The Airedales’ Tristan Rhodes led Alma with seven tackles. Trenton Simon and Dallas Perkins also had four tackles apiece. Perkins added 30 yards rushing on nine carries.

 

Quinton Broadway led the Airedales with 37 yards on the ground. 

 

Baldwin, Mahar, and Mialachi Houck had three tackles apiece for the Airedales.
